Physical Education Teacher (part-time)
The Crefeld School is looking for a state-certified Physical Education Teacher who can work a flexible, part-time schedule, to begin August 26, 2013.
The Crefeld School is a small, independent, progressive school, located in the Chestnut Hill neighborhood of Philadelphia, serving 100 students in grades seven through twelve. Current physical education offerings include rock climbing on an indoor wall and hiking, in addition to a sports-oriented PE class. Outdoor educational experience is a plus.
The person we are seeking will most likely be mid-career, with at least 5-8 years of
teaching experience and a strong background in physical education at the middle and high school level. We expect her/him to utilize a wide repertoire of activities and games (particularly, rock climbing), to enjoy the outdoors, and to utilize our campus to the fullest extent possible. S/he will be able to move easily into a strongly collegial professional environment, where collaboration, participation, creativity, and flexibility are highly prized attributes.
