Crefeld is licensed by the State Board of Private Academic Schools, the Pennsylvania State Department of Education, and the Immigration and Naturalization Service. Crefeld is a member of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and we are currently applying for accreditation through the Pennsylvania Association of Private Academic Schools (PAPAS).
The school's program is based on the ten principles of The Coalition of Essential Schools-a high school reform movement with over 1000 member schools around the country, and many of its principles are being adopted wholesale by state departments of education.
