The Crefeld School is committed to helping families afford tuition at The Crefeld School. Therefore, a certain amount of money is set aside each year in order to provide relief for families who are in need. Families may request a financial aid application form at any time during or after the application process. To request a form, contact Stacey Cunitz, Director of Admissions.
Financial Aid is awarded solely on the basis of need. The maximum benefit allowed a family is 50% of the full tuition. We have a limited financial aid budget and do our best to help families in need, but the amount of each award will vary from year to year depending on the number of applicants. Families must reapply for financial aid each year.
Financial aid is awarded on a "first come, first served" basis. The first round of financial aid decisions is made on April 1st, so forms must be in well before that date. Families will then be notified about their financial aid award for the following year. Families whose forms arrive after April 1st, and families applying to the school in April or later, are taking the chance that there may not be any financial aid left to award to them for the following year. Similarly, families who apply for the first available opening during the year, probably will not receive financial aid for that year.
The process for applying for financial aid is wholly separate from the application process to the school. Financial aid status has no bearing on whether a child is accepted to the school.
