Glass Class Schedule, Winter/Spring 2014

The Crefeld Glass Studio is pleased to bring the public another semester of glass art classes.  Below you will find the full listing for January through June, 2014.  Please click on the individual classes to be taken to the full description and a link to register for the class.  As always, this schedule is subject to change, and additional classes may be added as we are able.  Materials and use of tools are included in all class fees.

Intermediate, Advanced, and Special Topic Classes
Please click on the individual classes to learn the details of each course.  All classes are open to students who've had at least one previous glass class as well as advanced students, ages 16-adult. 

#1434 - Intermediate to Advanced Glassblowing  Thursdays, 10/30 - 11/20, 6-9pm 

Classes through Mt. Airy Learning Tree (MALT)
These classes are offered through the community education program, MALT.  All registrations for these classes will be taken through MALT's website: www.mtairylearningtree.org.  In general, these are introductory classes that are open to beginner to more advanced students, ages 16 - adult, that run for a slightly longer amount of time than the Glass Studio's  regular introductory courses.

Lampworking
Lampworking (also called Flameworking) is the art of manipulating glass by using a small flame and hand tools.  In these courses, students will use small torches to heat, bend, fuse, stretch, and ball up glass to create beautiful, small sculptures and jewelry.  These classes are open to beginners and more advanced students (specified in class descriptions), ages 16 - adult.

#1438 - Glass Bead Workshop Wednesdays, 12/3 & 12/10, 6-9pm

Glassblowing
In these exciting courses, students will gather molten glass from a 2100 degree (F) furnace and manipulate it using a variety of glassblowing techniques.  These classes are open to beginners through more advanced students (specified in class descriptions), ages 16 - adult.
