Special Announcement: New Head of School Appointed
Posted February 3, 2011
It is with great pleasure that the Board of Directors announces the appointment of George Zeleznik as Crefeld’s new Head of School, beginning July 1, 2011.
George began his Crefeld career in 1999, as an Upper School Science and Math teacher. Three and a half years ago, George took on the role of Assistant Head of School, under the leadership of current Headmaster, Mark Piechota. Throughout his time at Crefeld, George has made significant contributions to the school community, not the least of which was being an integral part of the recent PAIS accreditation process. The faculty cites his intelligence, natural leadership abilities, skill at collaboration and hard work, combined with charisma, humor, commitment, and knowledge of every aspect of The Crefeld School, as the tools to his success. George has been a passionate believer and tireless advocate for Crefeld and its educational mission. He not only understands implicitly the values and ethos of Crefeld, he has helped to define them as Crefeld has evolved.
George has established himself as a leader with a deep understanding of Crefeld’s past, combined with a strong vision for its future. We know that you will join us in our excitement in welcoming Mr. George Zeleznik, as our new Head of School. We look forward to many years of further growth together.
