Crefeld receives accreditation
After a lengthy process, The Crefeld School recently learned that it has been accredited by the Pennsylvania Association of Independent Schools (PAIS) and by the Middle States Association’s Commission on Secondary Schools.

The accreditation process included a two year self-study which involved members of Crefeld’s faculty and staff, board members, parents and alumni parents looking at areas such as school governance, finance, administration, program, health and safety, technology and admissions.
A Visiting Team from PAIS spent three days at the school last fall and met with various faculty and staff members, and the school’s board of directors.
Regarding the accreditation process, Dr. Mark Piechota, Head of School, noted,
“It [the accreditation process] has been an opportunity for review, reflection and self-evaluation; and the accreditation itself confirms what we’ve always known – that Crefeld is an exemplary, mission-driven school.”
