This past weekend, Crefeld’s campus was bustling with Harry Potter activity! For the first time, Crefeld was a full participant in Chestnut Hill’s Harry Potter Festival. We had food trucks, a Crefeld Harry Potter store, a free Patronus pin activity, the glass blowing studio was open to make dragon eggs, and of course, you could get your official acceptance letter into Hogwart’s Academy!
This team effort, led by Kristy and Joan, brought together many community members. The weeks and days leading up to the festival included work days to cut fabric and sew Harry Potter pillows.
Then there was festival day! Wow! There were volunteers that included, students, staff, parents, and Board members on campus from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. At one point, I looked out on our soccer field that was full of food trucks and there were about 450-500 Harry Potter Fans enjoying lunch, waiting in line for the free giveaway, or receiving their acceptance letters.
As a fundraiser, Harry Potter Day was a success and we could not have done it without the hardwork and dedication of our wonderful community.
