Private glassblowing lessons are priced at $94 per hour (for 1-2 people with 1 teacher) and a 2 hour minimum lesson is required. Click here to schedule a private lesson.
Rent Time in The Crefeld Glass Studio
Our Hot Shop and Flameworking stations are available for rental on a very limited basis to experienced glass artists. Please call or email to reserve time, and be sure to read our rental policies (below) and our terms of use. Rentals are subject to availability within the Studio’s schedule.

Rental Fees
Small Glory Hole 16": $58/hour
Large Glory Hole 24": $68/hour
Flameworking Station: $30/hour *we are not currently regularly renting torch stations; email us to inquire for an exception
Discount Rates for bulk purchase of rental time:
Rental time pre-purchased in bulk will qualify for an overall rate discount of 5-25%, depending on the number of hours booked at once. All hours of studio use must be scheduled with the studio in advance, and in 3 hour minimum blocks.
Studio Rental Policies:
Minimum rental block is 3 hours per visit.
Included with hourly rental in hot shop: use of pipe warmer, garage, and reasonable kiln space; pipes, blocks, straight and diamond shears, tweezers, jacks, and beeswax; 20 lbs of glass per hour and 100 lbs of glass per day. If you are making larger work and know you will need more glass and more kiln space, you are required to make pre-arrangements with Crefeld (you may be charged for the extra glass and kiln usage.)
All artists requiring assistants must bring their own assistants with them. The Studio does not provide any staff to help with making artwork or operating equipment. A staff member will ensure that all equipment is present and turned on, and will let you into the studio and lock up when you are done.
